CREATIVE INCUBATOR AND PROJECT SUPPORT / Creatives Helping Creatives Succeed

The Creative Incubator is designed to help artists and creative entrepreneurs grow their practice, strengthen their projects, and build sustainable businesses. The program is tailored for creatives who are already active in their field and ready to take their work to the next level. Through FIG’s Creative Incubator Program, participants gain access to educational workshops, peer-to-peer feedback, and hands-on guidance to develop and implement their projects in real time.

Stay tuned for details on how to apply for the 2026 program.
Future Ink Graphics’ (FIG) Creative Residency Program is a professional development residency for adults that identify as having a disability. The residency is awarded to 3-6 artists annually who want to learn about digital arts and technology, and silkscreen printing.

These artists work in the studio with a FIG instructor and Inclusion Specialist, Lauren Mailey, over the course of several months.

During the residency each artist creates screen printed and digital artwork to sell and display.
This program provides access to FIG's facility and ongoing support to qualified applicants.
The residency includes:
• Access to FIG's facility
• 12 - 16 hours of one on one training in digital arts and/or silkscreen
• A stipend for supplies
• Access to professional development workshops and networking opportunities

FIG is proud to be an All Means All space and has created inclusive programming through support from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Future Ink Graphics is running the Summer 2025 Alumni Creative Residency Program!
We’re thrilled to share that seven alumni of the Future Ink Graphics (FIG) Creative Residency have been invited back this year for a special alumni residency—created in response to an exciting opportunity to showcase our program at the Kennedy Center’s LEAD® (Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability) Conference this August in Cleveland!

This alumni residency was sparked by the honor of being invited to present at LEAD, and it offers a unique chance to reconnect with past residents, celebrate their growth, and spotlight the lasting impact of the Creative Residency program. We can’t wait to see what this incredible group of artists creates together and how they represent FIG on a national stage.

Future Ink Graphics’ (FIG) Anne Kibbe Residency Program for Women is a fully funded, 3 month, fall residency awarded to a creative annually who self-identifies as a woman, and wants to learn about digital arts and technology, and silkscreen printing. This program provides access to FIG's facility and ongoing support to qualified applicants.

The residency includes:
• Access to FIG's facility
• 20 hours of one on one training in digital arts and/or silkscreen
• A stipend for supplies
• Inclusion in FIG's Women Who Print show
• The opportunity to conduct a demo or artists talk at the end of the residency, offered free to the public

The goal of the residency is to provide resources, training and opportunities to women artists and help to further develop their skills. By offering the residency at no cost to the artist, FIG continues its commitment to contributing to a more accessible and equitable arts community.
Anne Kibbe was a printmaker and instructor. She was a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art and her work is in several collections including the Westin. Anne volunteered at local print shops and had two studios in the city. In 2021, after her passing, her family generously donated her equipment and artwork to FIG. To honor Anne and her contributions to the growth of Cleveland artists, particularly women, FIG has created a residency program in her name.

"She was experimental and adventurous with her art…She understood creative people, and encouraged people to explore their creative side. She would compliment you on your bad handwriting, saying it had consistency and that's what made it good." – Ellie Kibbe

This program is supported by the Kibbe Family and the launch of the residency program was supported by the Chuck and Char Fowler Family Foundation.

2022 / Anne Kibbe Residency Recipients:

2022 AK Residency: Future Ink Graphics is excited to announce the first recipient of the Anne Kibbe Residency Program for Women, Nathalie Bermudez!
"I entered the world of painting after coming to the United States from Colombia. At that time, I felt an intense need to connect with my culture and my roots. I decided my paintings must tell the story of where I came from, where I once belonged, because the culture shock confused me completely.

So I began by telling the stories of people from my country that cannot tell their own stories. My paintings, I realized, would tell the stories of Colombia's indigenous and Afro-indigenous people, of our Afro-Colombian roots that are abandoned by the political class in Colombia." – Nathalie Bermudez

Nathalie will be working in FIG learning to screen print with artist and owner of ApeMade, April Bleakeny.
