CLASS Series: Digital Workshop
FIG's Digital Workshop Series offers a variety of Digital Arts programming. From beginner classes to more advanced workshops these series will provide participants with access to quality equipment taught by professional artists and designers.
$40 for non-members
$35 for members

Cancellation policy
  • Classes are 100% refundable minus the 4% online processing fee up to 7 days before the scheduled class.
  • Class resignation cancellation within 7 days of the class start date is 60% refundable minus the 4% online processing fee.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours of the class is non-refundable. Emergency cancellations must be communicated to FIG staff. Refunds for an emergency will be at the discretion of FIG staff.

Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to know Photoshop? To have all the capabilities of photo-editing, compositing, and illustration? In this beginner level course you will learn the tools to make the most of your photos and digital artwork. Through a variety of techniques we will help you create a finished product that you can be proud of. You will leave this workshop with the basic skills needed to tackle countless digital projects in the future!

Supplies needed:
  • Computer (mac is ideal - what I'm used to)
  • Photoshop software (installed prior to class)
  • Drawing tablet + pen (needed for detail work) / Bamboo brand is cheapest. Wacom the the best (these need to be installed on the computers as well prior to class)

Good for
Bio → Leigh Brooklyn was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she earned a B.F.A. in Biomedical Illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art. After graduation Brooklyn moved throughout the country gaining inspiration from individuals she met through street photography. Brooklyn then went back to her roots of figurative drawing and oil painting.

Recently she learned sculpture and studied welding to incorporate 3D pieces into her growing series. Brooklyn's work has been displayed in galleries and museums around the country from New York to Los Angeles.
